Blog Rush Stats Update

blogrush.png
In my last post on [tag]Blog Rush[/tag], I mentioned the only draw back, so far, was the lack of stats being available for 24 to 48 hours. (See my video post.) Not a huge deal, after all this is a new [tag]widget[/tag], and I know launching new software is challenging. Therefore, I am willing to wait while the people over at BR figure the stats issue out.

Fast-forward 24 hours. While drinking my coffee this morning, I logged into my Blog Rush account to check my stats and still no stats. However, there was a message from [tag]John Reese[/tag], answering the top eight questions he has received since launch. Number one on his list was the following question: When will my dashboard statistics be available?

His response:“We encountered some minor issues with the batch processing of our first cycle of member statistics (it’s a lot of data to crunch) and we just about have it fixed. We hope to have your statistics up and running very soon as we know they are very important to you. We just need a little bit more time. Please know that we’re working as fast as we can and the moment we can start displaying them you will see them. (Thanks in advance for your patience.)”

Again, I understand so no big deal. I am just excited to see what BR can really do. I am seeing traffic from other sites in my [tag]analytics[/tag] so I know it’s working to some degree.

I currently have BR on two sites. Once they solve the stats issue I will start adding to more of my sites.

John Reese Introduces Blog Rush

What is [tag]BlogRush[/tag]? It’s a [tag]blog widget[/tag] designed to bring more [tag]targeted traffic[/tag] to your blog. This is the brain child of [tag]John Reese[/tag] over at [tag]income.com[/tag].

Check out my review video of Blog Rush.

Finding A Sites Google Page Rank

How can I find the [tag]Google Page Rank[/tag] of other potential link partner sites?

This is a great question when deciding on a [tag]link exchange partner[/tag]. This [tag]video[/tag] will show you how to find the Google Page Rank (PR) of any site, using the [tag]Google tool bar[/tag].

If you don’t want to watch, here are the steps.

Go to toolbar.google.com
On the right hand side of the page, click the download button.
Run the installer.
Go to settings >> options
Select the “More” tab
Check the “Page Rank and Page info” Check Box
Accept any Privacy Policy statement
Star browsing sites
Hover the mouse pointer over the tool bar and it will give you the page rank.

Hello world! Version 3.0 (Beta)

Traffic is Gold (Version 3.0) is my personal web site dedicated to the study of a wide variety of online traffic sources and monetization.

In the past I have focused heavily on SEO/SEM. I still believe search engine traffic is a wonderful source of targeted traffic but it’s not the only source of traffic I get in my network of site. It represents approximately 35% of my total traffic.

Not all traffic sources are equal. Some convert at a much higher rate and some sources can be sustained over a long period of time while other sources flare up and fade fast, digg.com traffic.

Therefore, just like with an investment strategy, you should not put all your eggs into one basket. Diversify for security and long-term growth. This blog will reflect this strategy in terms of traffic and revenue generation. Here is a quick list of some of the traffic sources I will focus on.

• SEO
• SEM (PPC, Yahoo PI, etc…)
• Running Affiliate Programs
• Web 2.0 community site traffic Digg, Stumbleupon
• Targeted online Media Buys
• Building lists
• “Domaining”
• Wordpress software.
• Blog webrings
• Blogs are hot now but what about wikis? Will they be even hotter?

I want to share what I can about my traffic generation methods and learn as much as I can from others accomplishments. The value of the content I create and the community interaction will determine the success of this blog.

I look forward to learning, teaching and sharing.
